Welcome to Flowers Artz and Designs

My name is Michelle Nears, a New Forest artist living on the edge of one of the most naturally beautiful parts of the South of England, close to the coast and the city of Southampton. I was born in Lyndhurst and grew up surrounded by the landscapes, wildlife, and quiet charm that continue to inspire my work today.

Art has always been part of my life, though it’s only in recent years that I’ve truly returned to painting and drawing. What began as a way to relax and support my mental wellbeing alongside my role as a Health Care Support Worker in ophthalmology theatres has grown into something far more meaningful.

Through Flowers Artz and Designs, I create paintings inspired by nature, memory, and imagination. My work includes acrylic and watercolour paintings, as well as more expressive styles such as abstract art and Dutch pouring techniques. I enjoy exploring a range of subjects, from flowers and landscapes to animals and more imaginative pieces.

Each painting reflects not just what I see, but how I experience the world around me the colours of the seasons, the movement of nature, and the sense of calm it can bring.
